Saturday July 28 - I44 Speedway - Lebanon, MO

Chris, Sonny and Jamie Jackson headed out to join up with the Crump crew to race the weekly show at the I44 speedway. Chris raced a loose car to a 3rd place finish in the heat race.

In the A-main, Chris drove from his 4th starting spot up to 2nd in the early laps and was fighting with Dustin Mooneyham and Brad Looney for the lead. Looney made some contact with Chris during some hard racing, and it started a slow leak in the left rear tire. The rocky track conditions also caused the tires to chunk up and the car gave up on Chris about halfway. Chris was hanging on to 3rd spot with 2 laps remaining when the left rear tire finally blew out. Chris limped to the pits with a disappointing DNF.

The car was very racy until the tires gave up, and we learned some lessons about how we need to prep our tires for the big races down there this fall, so it was not a wasted trip.
