Saturday June 16 - Lakeside Speedway - Kansas City, KS

The World of Outlaws headed south to Kansas City and Chris headed south to join up with the Crump team and compete for the $10,000 top prize.

Chris had a solid qualifying lap that landed him 7th fastest of 31 cars, only .15 seconds from quick time. We quickly squandered our good qualifying time because Chris fought power steering problems in the heat race and finished 5th and missed a transfer to the A-main.

The guys were able to get the power steering repaired for the B-main and Chris finished 5th to earn a transfer to the A-main. At the drop of the green in the A, Chris began working his way forward. Chris made it all the way to the 10th spot at the halfway point, but got shuffled back on a restart to the 14th spot. Chris was able to recover and finish in the 12th position, completing all 50 laps. It was another solid run for us.

We would have liked to have done better, but mechanical gremlins cost us valuable track position that is so hard to make up. We had the car decent, but we need to get it working a little better to move forward against competition this tough.

We will keep digging and the results will come.
