Friday June 15 - Knoxville Raceway - Knoxville, IA

 The World of Outlaws Late Models were on hand at Knoxville with $10,000 for the top spot. Chris and the team headed up to test themselves against some of the best racers in the country. Chris timed in 14th fastest of the 29 cars on hand and started in the 5th spot in his heat race.

Chris was racing for 3rd in the early laps when he had to nearly spin the car to avoid contact with Shane Clanton. Chris lost a lot of ground but recovered to finish 6th and earn a transfer spot to the A-main. At the drop of the green in the 50 lap A-main, Chris began moving forward using the low side of the track.

The car was tight and Chris was having to wait for the car to turn in the center of the corner, but he was still able to race his way to the 11th spot at the end of the 50 lap race. We were the only car on Goodyear Tires at this race, and we felt like we had a solid run and a good finish.

We are definitely competitive and we learned some things that should help us when we return for the Nationals this fall.
