Saturday May 5 - I-44 Speedway - Lebanon, MO

Chris traveled south to join up with Mike Crump and the 00s team to compete in the MARS race at the I-44 speedway. Chris was fast in the heat race, but fought power steering issues to a 4th place finish. The 4th place heat finish earned us the 13th starting spot in the A-main.

At the drop of the green in the A-main, Chris took it easy for the first couple of laps and a caution came out on lap 2. On the restart, Chris found an opening and made his way past 3 cars in the first lap. Chris dove hard into turn 3 and two cars ahead of him got tangled up. Chris checked up to avoid the slowing cars and was turned down into the infield. He made contact with one of the tires lining the inside of the track and then was turned back up to the track where he was hit hard in the front end. The resulting damage put us out for the night. The car felt really good, and we were headed for a good solid run.

We've got to find a way to get the monkey off our back so we can get the finishes we deserve.
